Hi! My name is Clyde (I'm the one staring at you in the photo) and my brother is Jackson. We are hoping with all our hearts to find a home together. I'm a 3-year-old mixed breed dog and Jackson is a 2-year-old mutt too. I'm great with children and other dogs. I'm smart and I know lots of great stuff, including what “paw” means, and I come when I'm called. I'm kind, gentle and very mild mannered. I would rather lounge around with you and relax. I'm mellow and quiet. I will bark when people come to the door or are in my yard. Jackson loves to play with toys and run around. He is more active and energetic. Jackson was rescued from a family who had way too many dogs and way too many children. They kept Jackson in a kennel all day and night. He is very friendly with children and other dogs. He is a little more vocal than I am, but will stop barking if you tell him to, and normally only barks when you get him in “play” mode. Jackson is very sweet, loving, caring and compassionate. He likes to hug you by getting on his hind legs and pressing his head against you. He is so affectionate. We're both really good dogs and have to find a new family because our dad is going away and can't take us with him. We're neutered, vaccinated, housetrained and looking for love. Adoption fee: $75. And, join us Saturday, November 5th for the Fur Bowl for Pets at Five Star Lanes, 2666 Metropolitan Parkway, Sterling Heights, from 1 to 4 p.m. as we bowl to raise money for homeless pets. $20 per person for three games, shoe rental, pizza and pop. Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
