Pecan's Story...
New Arrival! This little fellow found himself in a city shelter when his family decided that having a kitten was too much "work"..well, we think whatever little effort it takes to ensure this cutie-pie is well fed, has a clean litterbox and is loved, is more than worth it!! Pecan is a gem...he soaks up attention and enjoys being held and cuddled. But, when it comes time for play, he's ready to roll...those furry mice and pingpong balls don't stand a chance! Pecan is about 4 1/2mos old and would make the "purr-fect" play companion to another cat already in your care. Or, he has made many new friends (he especially is well-matched with Angelo) in his foster home and would love to be adopted with one of them. Pecan comes already equipped with a microchip!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pecan, a Arlington Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
