Reba's Story...
Reba is a very shy 5 ½ pound female born in 2009. She will be a bit fearful at first, but in about a day will be looking to her new humans for some love and attention. She likes to be carried once she knows you and will sleep in your lap or bed, or even in a crate if need be. She doesn’t mind the other dogs; Reba actually seems to prefer humans as she has not started playing much with any of the dogs at this time. If you would like to make an appointment to see Reba please send in your completed application found on our web site at and we will give you a call. You can also check out our calendar of events on the web site to see where our next adoption event will be to meet Reba in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reba, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
