Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marta is about 6-7 years old, completely housetrained, well-behaved dog. She doesn't jump, rarely barks, isn't destructive, won't get on furniture -- she is a quiet dog that just wants to sit and watch tv all day with you, follow you around, and go for short walks.
She is fine with cats, loves my small dog, and tolerates my bigger dogs. She has reached the stage in her life where she just doesn't want a lot of chaos. She doesn't interact with playing, but is in her glory when she is the focus of attention and being pet. She is a gentle dog and expects to be treated gently. It is for this reason, that she probably would not do well with young children.
She is special needs only because she is heartworm positive. The vet suggested she stay on Heartguard Plus as the slow treatment. She is low thyroid and will need that for the rest of her life, but that is very inexpensive. She is on the mend, very beautiful and sweet dog.
