Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Serena. 7-9 yo Chinchilla Persian. Foster Home needed.
Serena is beautiful. She really does look just like the Fancy Feast kitty. She is well socialized, loving and her coat is in great shape despite the difficult time she's had for the past few months. Serena hates other cats and MUST be placed as an only cat. If she doesn't place immediately, we are hoping for a good soul to step forward and offer her their guest bedroom so she can have her own personal space while she is in Rescue. This is a wonderful cat who appears to have had good care up until the past few months. Please read her story below:
A breeder in Northern California suffered a massive stroke in September 2006. The cats were taken in by a "caretaker" who had no knowledge of how to care for this high maintenance breed of cat. So, from September 2006 to January 2007, they wandered around outside with no care or grooming. Thankfully, the breeder and caretaker realized it was time to release the cats and find new homes for them. All 10 have come to Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue where they are awaiting their new forever homes. All have been altered, vaccinated, and tested negative for feline aids and feline leukemia. Most have been shaved, or groomed, but there are still a few needing to be fully stripped of their mats. We are looking for foster homes who can either take on one these cats, or take in one of our other Persians so that we can concentrate on the grooming and care of the new cats.
