My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sake
Female 9 mo. old Blue Point Siamese

Sake is such a sweet girl. She came from a home with 80 cats (story below) and must be placed in a home with at least one other cat. She gets a lot of comfort from other kitties. She had such a rough beginning, she started out very shy but with love and patience, she is turning into a beautiful loving kitty. She even cries for attention when her foster mom tries to love her other kitties. Sake needs to be placed in a quiet home with no children or dogs and she must have another cat for companionship and playing. Read the story of her family of 80 cats....
I lived in a home with 80 cats … and some people in Orange County. Can you believe it? EIGHTY! Animal Control was called in because the neighbors could smell us three homes away. The newspaper even wrote about us and called it a “Breeder/Hoarder Situation”. Doesn't sound really good, does it? So, these dudes came along and tagged us, bagged us, and dragged us off to the biggest animal shelter you've ever seen. We were really scared, and hissing and spitting the whole time.

From there, 30 of us made it to safety at a place called Rescue. The shelter wouldn't let the Rescuers put us in our carriers for the trip. They had to stand outside while the shelter staff used nets, and these claw thingies to drag us into our carriers. We were SO scared! Some of us went to Cat House on the Kings in Fresno, where they will be cared for until foster or adoptive homes will come for them. A few of us got lucky and went straight into a foster home. I'm not sure what happened to the rest of my family. Eventually, all of us realized that no one was going to hurt us here, and we really had a pretty good gig. So, we've lightened up and are really starting to enjoy life. Looks like we're on our way to becoming healthy, happy, and ready for a new forever home! Just think, a family of our own …
