My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Everyone,
We are Zoe and Mia, a bonded pair of bichons who are happy, sweet, loving and lucky. Mom says we are a dynamic duo who are inseparable, eager to please, get along well with other dogs and love people of all sizes and shapes!

I’m Zoe and, according to Mom, I’m ten pounds of love who is happiest when I’m near you, snuggled up in a small space (Of course, I’m a small girl!) I’m also sweet, thoughtful and a little shy. Then there’s Mia my playful, lively and slightly younger sister. She’s also ten pounds, sweet, snuggly, happy and loving. Oh, and a bit more curious than I am.

Dad says Mia cocks her head to the side when you speak with her and that is very endearing. He says she also likes to prance from foot to foot and if you hold up your hand and say ‘turn’ she will twirl like a ballerina. My trick is to stand on my back legs and wave my front paws up and down at the same time. Dad says that takes a lot of balance and that I am very entertaining!

We are two little girls who like to do everything together. We even sleep in the same bed, as close to one another as we can get. Dad says it’s sometimes challenging to figure out how many of us are in the bed. (Silly Dad – of course there are only two!)

We love our doggy foster sisters and other furkids; we’re not good, however, with cats. I, Zoe, like to play with toys that squeak and I like rubber balls. I can play fetch for a long time. Whee, that’s so much fun. Mia also likes toys – but she likes to carry them around then play with them. Mia is also the ‘play instigator.’ She comes over to me and prods me to play chase -- and then we do!) And when the playing is over, then we snuggle quietly and happily.

Even though we like to snuggle on the couch, Mom wants you to know we’re not ‘couch potatoes.’ Why Mom, we’re not potatoes at all! We like to walk, enjoy greeting people and like to ride in the car, perfectly behaved little ladies! Oh and to show you how smart we are we learned the routine in our foster home in minutes and figured out how to use the doggy door right away!

Remember I said we were lucky? Well, that’s the best part. You see our ‘original’ Mom and Dad lost their home -- and there was no one in the family who could take care of us. Since we have been together for eleven years, the family knew we needed to stay together. Our Aunties at Bichon FurKids found us the bestest foster home. Now we are safe and together – that’s why we know how very lucky we are.

Mom and Dad agree that we are the two of the best bichon girls in the world! And, of course, since we are a bonded pair, we must be adopted together. So if we sound like your kind of ‘kids’, please complete an application because we’d love to meet you. Nothing would make us happier than to be together in our Forever Home where we can cuddle, snuggle and certainly entertain you.

Your friends in waiting,
Zoe and Mia, the Dynamic Duo
