Saturday's Story...
Saturday came to us having been running lose, in heat and 'gang raped'. She was never claimed (we're never surprised). Saturday has had surgery for her prolapse, has been cleaned up, given antibiotics for her various sinus, eye and yeast infection, has been spayed and is ready for her 'furever' home! This girl is just as sweet and gentle as can be and just wants and deserves love and attention. She is approximately 6-8 months old (as of early September). She is quickly learning leash training and hand signals. Because of her sensitive eyes she should not go to a home where she will be outside in the sun all day. SATURDAY IS HEARING IMPAIRED/DEAF.

10/9/11 Update: Saturday is fabulous on a short leash and loves to run! Just make sure you stay beside her as she is afraid of shadows and thinks something/someone is approaching from behind and will get spooked. Just needs gentle touches and affection to let her know she's o.k. What a dream!!

August 2016: Saturday remains partially paralyzed in her hind legs but loves to go for long walks. She would be best as an only dog and would make a great companion. She has never lived with cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saturday, a Arenas Valley Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Arenas Valley, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Arenas Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arenas Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arenas Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arenas Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
