Cleopatra of De Nile's Story...
Cleopatra of De Nile - 4 Year Old Female Blue Abyssinian

Cleopatra of De Nile is the pick of the litter daughter of Nala, also on the Abyssinian page. Just look at Cleo's beautiful sleek blue colored coat, with her beautiful apricot colored undercoat. She is a very affectionate girl, however as you can see Cleo eats well so is a bit on the chunky side and is not the most active Abyssinian, as the breed is normally known for. But she is soooo sweet, well trained and ready for the love that she craves. She does like to be brushed and she loves other kitties and dogs too.

Cleopatra is being surrendered by her owner because of health issues and now is losing her home. But she wants to make sure her kitties are taken care of. Nala and Cleopatra are not a bonded pair and while it would be nice to place them together, to the right home and situation we will adopt them separately. You can read about the Abyssinian personality at

Cleopatra is healthy, current on vaccinations, FELV/FIV negative, spayed and micro-chipped. She is in the Sacramento area.

For more information, contact Karen at 925-462-1608 or by email at or go to and fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleopatra of De Nile, a Davis Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Davis, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
