Popeye is a beautiful 6 month old chocolate boy who has had a rough start to his life. He was found by a deputy sheriff on the side of the road and rushed to the emergency vet's office. They were afraid that he had neurological damage since it appeared that he had been hit by a car and left for dead. Then the poor boy developed skin mites from being so stressed out.

Two months later, update from the foster mom: This is one of the smartest dogs I have ever been around! No brain damage at all and just the sweetest love puppy, loves to snuggle. Extremely social, does great with my other 4. Loves to play and catch the ball and is learning to bring it back. Housebroken, only crated if gone for more than a couple of hours. He has not destroyed anything!!

Clearly an Alpha male, chases the cats but doesn't try to hurt them and they don't run very far away. Must go in home with another dog for him to play with. I can't say enough good things about him. He is an incredible dog and I do love him so!
