My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

POSTED 12/8/2011: Angelo is a 1 year old male neutered short haired dark gray charcoal color with white on his feet, chest, and small white spot on the left side of his chin. Angelo may be a Russian blue mixed with American or domestic short hair. His coat is gorgeous and sleek.

Angelo wandered up as a stray to a house with multiple cats. Unfortunately the owner already has about a dozen cats and is moving soon so she cannot keep Angelo. He desperately wanted to come inside and was most likely dumped and abandoned. He is not wild or feral and is very sweet and loves humans. Angelo would probably do fine as an indoor cat or as an indoor/outdoor cat in a safe area. He was only 8 1/2 lbs when he was found and he is already 11 1/2 lbs now. Angelo isn't fat as you can tell from his pictures. He is just a big, strong, handsome boy. Angelo is easy going but also playful.

We are looking for a temporary foster home or permanent home for Angelo. We are currently having to pay to board him and he is having to stay in a cage. If you are interested in adopting Angelo or helping him, please contact our adoption coordinator, Robin, at 352-473-8276 or 352-339-3352. You can also e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an application. Our adoptions are held at PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville Butler Plaza from 11am-3pm every Saturday and Sunday. You can also speak to Robin there during those times. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and parasites, spayed or neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption. Our adoption fee is $100 per animal to help with the cost of medical and care expenses. $100 of the adoption money goes towards the animals.
