Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Celia. 2-3 yo Sealpoint Himalayan.
Celia came to us from a horrific situation, but she has blossomed
into a darling kitty now that's she's in a safe place. She has one
small eye, our vet says it is probably an old injury that's healed
up. It won't cause her pain, she's just got her own unique character
now. Any cat can be a lovely Sealpoint, but how many look just a bit
like a Pirate? Celia is a nice chatty girl, especially when it comes
time for dinner. Apparently, going without food for awhile makes a
girl appreciate a good meal now and then. She is also wonderful about
using her litter box. She thinks a clean litter box is an awesome new
invention! You can read her story below:
We got a call from Orange County AC that someone had abandoned 100
cats on one small property. So, our team of energetic volunteers
hopped in our cars and drove all the way down. When we got the
property, we could smell it as soon as we opened the car doors.
Eeewww! Poor kitties. When we got there we discovered that the
previous owners had sneaked in the night before and taken a bunch of
the cats. But, we stayed up for 24 hours straight and trapped the
remaining 50+. They were living in the attic, and the walls and the
crawl spaces under the house. We brought the injured and sickest to
our Vacaville foster center, and the rest are currently boarding at
Cat House on the Kings near Parlier CA. Over time, all of the
remaining cats need to get into foster, or adoptive homes. If you
think you can help by fostering, socializing, or adopting one of
these sweet cats, please let us know. We can really use the help with
a huge undertaking such as this.
