Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Candy is a sweet little beagle girl with a lot of love and a lot of energy! When she doesn’t want to run around the house or the yard, she wants your attention and love. She loves people (pets and cuddles are one of her favorite things) and gets along well with other dogs too. Candy especially inspires our older beagle, who loves to play but has gotten a little lazy, to chase and wrestle for at least an hour a day. She seems to need that interaction with another dog and craves the attention of other dogs as much as people.
Candy is not recommended for homes with small children, as she is a bit mouthy in play and does not understand the difference between household objects (like a child’s toy) and dog toys. She is quite good-natured and can be dissuaded from doing these things, but it will take time and training. We also discovered that Candy has a talent for high-flying leaps and can easily jump onto a kitchen counter with a short running start, so she must be monitored in situations with baby gates or fences. She can be left home alone in a crate and does well there.
Candy is looking for a great home that will let her silly beagle-ness shine. Could it be yours?
