Tallulah's Story...
Tallulah is an eight year old Westie mix who is currently recovering beautifully from an operation on her front leg. You can see her limp but you can also see that she is getting stronger every day and not letting it get in her way. She is a very aware dog, noticing people and things around her all the time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tallulah, a New York Westie, West Highland White Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Westie, West Highland White Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a Westie, West Highland White Terrier dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Westie, West Highland White Terrier breeders who help with Westie, West Highland White Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
