My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Birdie's pups! A good Samaritan found them in a ditch and asked us to help. LFS could not resist and here they are at our vet. Mom is super sweet with us and her puppies. She is so skinny we don’t know where she had the energy to feed her puppies. She is probably not more than one year old and the puppies not more than 2 weeks old. There are two black pups, one boy (Jay) and one girl (Wren), and two chocolate pups, both girls (Sparrow and Robin). After Birdie arrived at the vet she started sleeping so soundly, it looked like this was the first time she could sleep without having to keep one eye open. We can’t wait to see these guys grow up! It will be very expensive to keep them in boarding at the vet and give them the care they need. If you would like to sponsor Birdie and her pups please visit the donate section of our website.

UPDATE: Wren and Jay have their eyes open now and Sparrow and Robin’s are half-way there! Everyone is happy and healthy and doing great!

UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER DAD: Jay is one of Birdie’s handsome sons. He represents everything that we love about puppies; He's loving, adventurous, loyal, fun and adorable. He loves a good wrestle and tug session with his foster brother and when play time is over, Jay is looking for that warm lap for a nap. He is also very laid back. Jay knows where the food is and boy does he love it. You can tell by his size. Jay will make an awesome addition to any loving family.

ANOTHER UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER DAD: First, let me say that I think Jay had to have been a chef in his former life. This is one puppy that loves his food. Other than that Jay is doing well. Having fun with his foster brother, Brody. They love to wrestle and tumble. He is one fearless puppy and loves to be the first one to start a wrestling match. When he is done with wrestling and playing, it is nap time. Jay loves his naps. He is doing well learning puppy manners and potty time. He does well in his crate and maybe you might get the occasional whine out of him, but that is about it. I think Jay would do well with an older brother or sister to play with. Don’t miss out on this awesome puppy time.
