Penny's Story...
I had a tough start in life -- I lost most of my eyesight due to an infection when I was a little kitten. But I’ve learned to adjust to this setback, and I don’t let it stop me from being affectionate or playful. I love to fetch toys -- I can't see them but I can hear them land on the floor -- and I often curl up next to my foster parent when he's sitting or sleeping. When he talks to me, I give him kisses and rubs. I've been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, so I'm ready for my forever home. Do you have room in your heart and home for a special girl like me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Kensington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kensington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kensington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kensington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kensington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kensington paves the way for another one to be saved.
