Shadow's Story...
Shadow is an absolutely gorgeous Shepherd/Border Collie mix who is abt 10 months old. Her coat is a beautiful glossy black and best of all, she barely sheds! Shadow's is a social girl and loves adults, children, cats and other dogs. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite thing and she is more than happy to sit and shake for a treat. Shadow is housetrained and does well in a crate during the day; however, she would really prefer to snuggle up to her new adopter at night. Could you be the one to give this terrific girl the home that she deserves?

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Patti at 913.766.5010 or pthun@kc.rr.com to find out when and where you can meet SHADOW!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Overland Park Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
