Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DaisyMay is a purebred Maltese. She only weighs 5.7 pounds.
DaisyMay was rescued from a puppymill. She is working on her housebreaking. She does well with dogs and cats. She is currently underweight but does have a petite build. All 5 years of her life have entirely been in a cage , so it's preferred she not be put in one. She likes totting around the house, checking things out, but is still hesitant to get too close to you. She'll need some time to figure out that no one will ever harm her again. It's amazing what a little love can cure. :o)
She needs a lot of socialization. She needs someone who will be very patient and understanding and will work with her to gain the trust of people since all she's known is that they treat her poorly. Given time, I'm positivie she will make a great, loyal companion.
She is doing better on a leash. She enjoys to go outside but is scared to get close enough to you to hook up her leash. It's so sad. She gets excited when she sees the other dogs in her foster home. She loves to play with them. It's preferred she go to a home that has at least another smaller dog that will be her canine companion. Her pictures aren't the best, but she is so fearful so it's the best we could get.
DaisyMay is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, and bordatella treated. She is heartworm negative and on preventative. If you would like to talk to her foster mom about adopting this timid little sweetie. If you can give her some time and TLC, please apply online at www.rescueAhart.org Thanks so much
