Waffle is a special little girl rescued from a hoarding situation where over 100 small dogs were living in an apartment! When we first got her she had never been on a leash and was so terrified she was extremely defensive and wouldn't let anyone touch her. After only a day in foster, she realized we were trying to help her and her sweet submissive personality came through! She has a horrible case of demodectic (non-contagious) mange which is being treated and she is looking better already. She is still very nervous with new people and situations but is an adorable playful puppy once she bonds.
Similar to dogs rescued from puppy mills, these dogs have had minimal handling and socialization and are timid but sweet natured. They love other dogs and are looking for calmer adult households with at least one other dog to help them feel more comfortable. They have never been walked on leashes or exposed to anything outside of that apartment so will require some patience and socialization as they adjust to the "real world". We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
