Jake's Story...
Hi, I'm Jake! I am about 4 years old as of 4/21/12. My sister is Sophie. We have never been apart and are very close with one another so we must stay together. We were adopted by a kind man when we were kittens but he had to return us when he lost his home. We are very affectionate and love attention! I am very difficult to photograph because I constantly want attention. We love to play and to be pet. If you are sitting down we will come sit right by you. We are not crazy about being held because we are not used to it. Perhaps once we trust you we can work on that? We would love a forever home where we can get all of the attention we are craving. We are good with cat friendly dogs, other cats, and children over 8 years old. Please adopt us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Middletown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Middletown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Middletown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Middletown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Middletown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Middletown paves the way for another one to be saved.
