Vicki's Story...
Vicki is a sweet, shy little gal! She is personable with everyone, but probably never had much of a puppyhood and isn't terribly playful. Once she is out of the shelter environment, her true personality will blossom! Due to her shyness, she would do best in an adult-only household. She tolerates all types of handling and was so worried during her behavior evaluation that she didn't touch her food. Vicki is currently at Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City. Please go and visit her there and take her home with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vicki, a Edgewater Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Edgewater, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Edgewater.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edgewater already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edgewater breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edgewater paves the way for another one to be saved.
