Harvey's Story...
We're waiting for an age on Harvey, but will be surprised if he's older than 7. Harvey came on a long transport, greeted our volunteer with a big "arooooooo," and jumped out of the crate with his tail in the air. He then proceeded to sniff everything. No blade of grass went unsniffed. He's got a bad case of "pen nose," where the hair has been rubbed off his nose as the result of sticking it through his pen. He was most likely a spent hunting dog. Harvey has a great personality. He's a very friendly fellow and has quite a bit of pep in his step.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
