Penelope's Story...
Sweet little Penelope has been given a second chance at life. After surviving an attack by a coyote, she has gone through several surgeries to fix her throat and a broken bottom jaw. She has a metal plate with screws where the surgeon put her jaw back together. She is fully healed and just needs someone to love her forever. She loves to play, go for walks, and watch TV on your lap. She also loves to burrow under any blanket or pillow in the vicinity! Penelope is a survivor; this tough sweet little girl is ready to be your everything!
If you have room in your heart for this loving sweet girl, please send in your completed application found at our web site www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call to set up a time to meet Penelope.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a San Diego Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
