My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lula May, 10 - 14 month female seal point Himalayan kitten
Regular adoption fee: see below

This little cutie is just in . She will be ready to go home 5/ 24 /
12. She was surrendered to a shelter by a good a samaritan. A
neighborhood had been worried about her and feeding her as she
wandered amongst them homeless. We know no other history. She must
have gotten lost is my guess. Who would abandon such a tiny treasure.
Finally someone took her in too the shelter. She was growly and was
not going to be put up for adoption. I took her immediately. She
growls when she eats and will defend her food bowl. That may be what
they saw without connecting it to her food. She loves wet food and
does not want to share. She may well get over this as she has a
consistent supply of it. Obviously she has been very hungry in her
short life.

Lula May is just 7 pounds and not really very underweight, so the
neighbors did well keeping her fed. Her hungry days were probably
before they stepped in. She actually is a big lovebug when she is not
eating. She loves attention and being cuddled. She was very badly
matted and the shelter shaved her some while they had her under
anesthesia and we finished shaving what they started and she was
fine with it. I really think kitties feel the immediate cessation of
pull and pain when they are shaved and so they are more cooperative
than one would expect. She had very tight mats. She may have been
out in the rain and that makes bad mats instantly. ( "How do you
make a mat??? Just as add water." is the saying ).

So she is a beautiful little girl . Nice temperament except for the
"defending her food bowl" issue. She is a soft, silky haired beauty
with dramatic seal point coloring. She seems to be very healthy.
Still growing. When I know her better I will write more - if she is
still here.

She eats wet food ( Yes Yes Yes ! ) and dry food and is litterbox
perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
