Lakota's Story...
Meet Lakota! Lakota is a small Standard American Eskimo Dog and about 4-5 years old. Lakota is a beautiful boy with TONS of energy!!! Lakota will do best with a fenced yard to run! Lakota is good with older children, NO small children, teenagers OK! Families with children over 13yrs old only need apply! Lakota is very active and will benefit from a training class to expend some of that energy. Lakota is OK on leash, and OK in the car. Lakota should be respectfully introduced to other dogs; families applying with another dog always need to arrange a meet and greet between dogs. American Eskimo experienced adopters, over 21 yrs old, only need apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lakota, a Elmhurst American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
