Bruiser's Story...

Hola! My name is Bruiser and I am a five year old applehead Chihuahua looking for a home. I do not take up much space- I'm only 6 pounds, after all, and I will give you all the dog hugs you can handle. I love to sit on my foster mom and dad's lap until they have to get up, when of course I follow them to see what they are up to. I don't want to miss anything important!

At bedtime, I MUST have a spot under the covers, preferably by your feet, if I sleep in your bed, but I will sleep in my own bed in the other room if you want me to- just please don't put me in a crate. I get anxious and bark in those things- wouldn't you? I love playing around and tunneling under covers even when it's not time for bed.

There is one thing you should know about me. I really don't like to eat dry food or treats. I mean, I will sometimes, but you see, a few of my teeth had to be removed and it makes it hard for me to chew crunchy things. My favorite is the raw food my foster mom feeds me, but I will also eat canned food. Oh and green peppers. I love green peppers. And peanut butter… and, ah well, you get the idea.

So won't you please consider letting me stay in your home? In exchange I will give you love and joy and cuddles… so many cuddles! How can you resist?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruiser, a Worcester Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
