My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola
4 Year Old Female Platinum Mink Tonkinese
Regular adoption fee: see below

6 7 12: LAST CHANCE: Owner will be taking Lola to an Oregon shelter within days.

COURTESY POSTPurebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Lola is a very sweet, sensitive and gentle girl. When Lola wants affection she will ask for it vocally and suddenly appear at your feet. She also talks while receiving affection and loves to have her tummy rubbed. She is loving, affectionate and playful and a lap kitty. But you may not see this girl when she first comes to your home. She needs to be with someone who is patient and gentle and who understands her needs and will not force her into trusting too soon. She will open up the quickest by letting her come to you first. If you take the time to allow this to happen, you will be rewarded tenfold with her affection given freely, not to mention a girl who wants to spend time in your lap.

So why is Lola being re-homed? Lola's has been with her owner since she was a kitten. There were never any problems until the owner got married. Her husband is not fond of cats and Lola is feeling that stress in her life. Immediately on the owners new husband moving in, Lola started peeing just outside her litter box. Also Lola's sister started tormenting her when she goes to the litter box so this is another part of the problem. Since this behavior is new and has a know cause it most likely will go away once she is removed from the home. After all, this sweet and sensitive girl is grieving the loss of having her mom to herself. In a new owner, Lola needs someone who has time to spend with her and will make her feel safe.

This little sweetheart can be yours in you can provide the right home for her. She has no health issues and vet records will come with her. She has always been an indoor cat. She has a submissive personality and would be dominated by the other pets in the home. Lola would do best in a home without other pets or children. She is spayed and weighs about 7 pounds.

If would like more information about Lola, contact Karen at 707-301-6425 or by email at k.pahler@comcat.net. Lola is not in a Purebreds Plus foster but residing with her owner who is placing her. Adoption fee applies.
