Hello World,
My name is Lucky and I feel very lucky to have been rescued! You see the family I lived with for a year decided to drop me at the shelter. Thankfully I was only there for a very short time before Bichon FurKids found me. I was very confused because I am a very good little guy who really wants to please. Thanks to my new foster mom, I am feeling so much better and my confidence is returning.
Mom (and Bichon FurKids) think I am a long-legged bichon about 18 months of age. I weigh 15 pounds, am very agile, can run like the wind and know some basic commands. The people at the shelter tried to cut my hair so they gave me an interesting ‘do’…. But Mom thinks I’ll look a lot more bichonly when my hairs grow out. In the meantime you can see that I smile a lot and am a very happy boy!
Dad says I’m working really hard to learn how things ‘work’. He says I learned how to use the doggie door and am on my way to being house broken very quickly. He says I can be a bit overwhelmed by one of my foster doggy brothers and his energy – and when both my foster brothers jump in my face it scares me. When I initiate play, however, I’m more confident – so with trust, and time, I’ll be fine ‘cause I really like other fur kids and being part of a family.
I love to take walks and rides in the car. Mom says I also get an “A’ in cuddling. I’m great with kids, women (well… I am a bichon, you know) and I am getting more comfortable with men. A gentle loving man can help me to feel secure, safe and wanted.
