Sweet Pea's Story...
Her name, Sweet Pea, suits this gorgeous girl purrrfectly since she's off-the-charts with affection and personality. Looking for a "Lap Cat"? Sweet Pea's your GIRL! She was saved from death row at Downey Shelter along with her first litter of 5 young kittens... probably still a kitten, herself. She was a gentle, loving mama and her babies adored her. Now that they've all been adopted it's Sweet Pea's turn to be someone's baby! This girl connects with you by looking directly in your eyes and responding to communication... as if she understands every word you say. She'd be an excellent companion for someone who works from home as she'll be by your side or hang out on your desk by day. By night, she'll cuddle with you in bed. Check out Sweet Pea's YouTube video & fall in L-O-V-E!!

Sweet Pea is listed as "Special Needs" on account of the fact that she needs to be on a low dose of Prednisone (once or twice a week by mouth) for an auto immune disorder she developed over the last year.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Pea, a Sherman Oaks Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
