Sammy's Story...
Sammy is the sweetest cat in town. Though he arrived in the Cat Room with a bad cold, his incredible personality instantly warmed the room. He loves to play and explore and to give affection. He gives kisses and headbutts and enjoys being held and snuggled. Sammy is as sweet and playful as can be. He's very entertaining and does a funny rabbit-like hop when playing. He loves to play with lure toys, and is interested to see what you're up to around the house. He comes when called, and also likes to snuggle up with you for naps and give kisses. He gets along well with other cats too. He is a charming black and white kitty! He is ready to bring lifetime of love and devotion to a best friend in a forever home. Sammy was born around 1/5/12.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
