My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

VWidget is a wonderful success story. He came to us from KY, and was a kitten who barely reacted to his environment, didn’t play, and was generally scared and shy. After being with us and not seeing much of a change for several months, it was decided to allow him to go to Petsmart and see if someone wanted a shy kitty like him. While at Petsmart, his cage mate hissed at a new little kitty we placed with them. Widget came out of his corner to lay with the little one.  It was the start of a whole new Widget.  His foster mom now affectionately calls him Papa Widget, because he fathers and nurtures all the new kittens, protects them and shows them how to be a big kitty.  Today, he is engaged like any other kitty, begs for petting, plays with his friends and toys, and follows his foster mommy around. He especially loves the laser toy and feather toys. While he may always be a little on the shy side, once he gets comfortable with you, Widget is affectionate, playful and an absolute delight.  He is very passive with other cats, never hisses, and doesn’t really understand why some cats hiss at him, but simply moves along without incident.  Widget may do well with small children or very hectic households simply because of the scaredy-cat that still lives a little bit within him.  But in the right environment, i.e., one that does not scare him, he will make a truly wonderful companion.  He has a unique look, with crossed eyes and a bushy tail.  He’s a petite and beautiful boy, and turned a year old in November. He has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and stomatitis, thereby making him a special needs kitty. But they don't come much sweeter than Widget. He will do best in a home with at least one other kitty. He needs a friend!

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
