Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone,
Christie Barkley here. I got my name from the beautiful model, Christie Brinkley because, like her, I am a beagle model OR a model beagle. I do most things that all beagles do. I use my nose to sniff out good things, especially food. I will jump around and dance for a good treat. I also know how to "sit pretty" to get a treat.
I came from a shelter somewhere in Michigan. The first day I walked into my foster home, my foster momma couldn't stop telling me how adorable I am. She loves my beautiful, brown eyes. She says she could lose herself in them. So of course, when I want to be petted or if I want attention, I just give her the "EYES."
When I first came to my foster home I had some potty accidents, but foster mom told me that was not allowed in the house. Now I potty outside like all the other beagles in the house. The one thing is though, I do not like to potty on grass much, I would prefer to potty on the cement.
I play with the other four beagles in the house. I don't have any alpha tendencies at all. I just go with the flow in the house. Just recently I earned privileges of sleeping in a doggie bed along side the other dogs in the house, although I like my crate in the family room to go in and just lie down sometimes. I am crated for several hours a day while foster mom has errands to run. She fills this thing called a kong with goodies and each one of us beagles get one and we are all good in our crates while she is gone. During the day I hang out with foster mom and foster dad at night. I love to lie on the deck and take a nap in the sunshine. I am not a very vocal dog. I only bark sometimes when playing with the others. I don't have a lot of bad habits either like I don't chew inappropriate stuff, except for a potato that foster mom has on a lower shelf in the kitchen and I just wanted to remind her she had potatoes (that's all I promise). Foster mom actually thought it was very funny with me rolling a potato across the kitchen floor. She said no other beagles ever bother them so I shouldn't either. I will try my best!!!
I am not a furniture dog. I don't know how to jump that high but foster dad picks me up and puts me on the couch with him at night. He rubs my belly and I just absolutely love it.
If you are looking for an SUPER easy-going, loyal companion who will be there when you need to de-stress by rubbing and petting on me, you have found her...ME.
