I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Nick's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Nick's Story...
Nick is an extra large adult male Akita who was found roadside out on Long Island NY with most of his Akita coat missing and very thin. He was taken to the local shelter and that is where we stepped in.

We have learned that Nick minds well, ignores most other dogs, and loves to wooo-wooo to you when he first greets you in the morning. Nick is looking for an Akita experienced home with older children (12 years +) who know how to respect the Akita breed. Please no cats for Nick. It is possible that Nick could live with the right female dog so a meet and greet would be needed.

Nick is a gentle giant who is eager to please and will give his heart to the family he loves! If you’re interested in meeting Nick please fill out the
Big East Akita Rescue adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nick, a Toms River Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
