Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello People!
I'm Stevie, a darling, cuddly and handsome little pup who is about one year old. And, although I weigh a mere 15 pounds, I'm here to prove that good things come in small packages.
My foster Dad describes me as "a snugglebug," which is kind of funny ‘cause I'm not a bug at all! I'm a bichon! But he said it means that I like to be close to him (and other people) all the time. Well, okay then since that's true, I guess it’s okay to call me that. I’m good with people of all sizes and shapes – and I REALLY like the ones called ‘kids.’ I’m very gentle with them and like their company! (In fact I’ll steal a kiss if and when I can!)
Besides being a snugglebug I’m a great walker! I get to smell the grass, enjoy the sunshine and see other dogs along the way. I approach all the dogs in a very peaceful way – and invite them to sniff me (then hopefully play!) I’m really quite fearless! Mom says I’m also good in the car and I rarely, if ever, bark. I’m really a mellow fellow.
The greatest thing about being a youngster is that you get to play and learn things! Right now I’m one of two furkids in the house so I’m learning things like how to play fetch and tug-of-war! I have a stuffed lion (toy) that is my favorite. Dad says I love for you to throw it across the room. Then I prance over, grab it, give it a couple of shakes, and bring it back near the thrower (usually, that is!)
Because I'm such a young guy, I'm still learning things like my commands. I know ‘sit’ and Dad says I’m eager to learn – and demonstrate my newly-learned skills! I’m also housetrained. (I'm perfect already!) And it’s obvious that I really want to please so I'm sure I'll be the bestest little bichon in practically no time!
At night I sleep on my blankie or my bed in Mom and Dad’s room where I am very quiet and well behaved! In fact I’m pretty good all the time, content to be in a loving home where I am appreciated and nourished.
To sum it all up, Mom says I’m an affectionate, cuddly, sweet, mellow and happy little buddy. I love people and other dogs, am great with kids and happy to return all the affection I am given! So what do you think? If you have other furkids they could be my play buddies! If you have kids, that would be even better!
If you're interested in meeting me, please complete our application and ask for Stevie please! (I’m practicing my very best manners, too!)
Hugs and snuggles,
‘Specially Sweet and Sociable Stevie
