Boomer's Story...
Update: Boomer is current on vaccinations and now has a loving sponsor who will pay for his neuter for his new family! Please come in to meet this GEM and adopt!

Boomer needs a home due to his owner not being able to keep him home in their 4' fence. That's an awful lot to expect from a big and tall dog like Boomer. He is a Collie mix according to his former owner. He's very sweet and looks at you with curiosity and can jump a 4' fence easily, so 6' or higher is needed. He is great with kids and lived with 3 smaller kids. He is current on all his vaccinations and is on heartworm prevention, but still needs to be neutered. Please help this sweet boy who is devastated losing his family find some happiness with a new family. He is good with other dogs and cats also. Please come in to meet Boomer soon.

Act quickly to adopt Boomer. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a New Kent Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in New Kent, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in New Kent.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Kent already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Kent breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Kent paves the way for another one to be saved.
