My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Paddington Bear. My foster mom named me after the story book teddy bear Paddington - who showed up at a train station with a note around his neck that said "Please take care of this Bear." Mom says I remind her of a cuddly little teddy bear with my cinnamon colored coat and sweet face. While I didn't show up at a train station, I too, have a mysterious past, and my foster mom felt like I showed up needing lots of special care.

I am one of the puppies from the puppy mill bust in early June. We came from far, far away, and I don't remember much, just being hungry, scared, and having an upset tummy all the time. But thanks to my super foster family - I am now a healthy, active, happy go lucky and FEARLESS little guy! I knew when I met my foster mom that I had landed in doggie heaven. She gives me lots of baths, and I sure do love feeling clean and smelling good! I get the yummiest food, all I can eat, (mom says I have to gain weight to be strong.) I have learned how much fun toys can be, and mom laughs when I drag around toys that are bigger than I am! I even have my own harness that looks like a denim jacket - and I like it because everyone I meet thinks I look so handsome!

I am about 9 weeks old now, and ready to look for my forever family. I love my foster family, and I am glad they have prepared me for the great big world but believe I'm ready for my very own human to be in charge of. I also love everyone I meet! People, dogs, cats, birds - I make friends wherever I go. My favorite thing to do is crawl through the wet grass and rub my tummy on it. It always makes mom laugh, and it sure feels good! I also just love to run, bounce, hop, and chew on anything I can get my mouth around. I am very happy to sleep in my crate at night, and I almost have the idea that I should go outside to potty, (but sometimes I don't make it to the door! Mom says it's because I'm so little.) I would love to have doggie brothers or sisters as I love to wrestle and play chase games. I would like humans who are around most of the time, as I do need some special tending to while I am still little. And I definitely need someone who will let me romp on the grass to scratch my tummy every day!

In return, I will cuddle, follow you around, and lay my head on your shoulder (I have perfected the pathetic puppy look, it gets me everything!) If you are a young active couple or family with lots of love to share, please complete an application at www.bichonfurkids.com/application.htm as I’d like to meet you.
