My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Bella which is super appropriate because I am the most beautiful lemon beagle girl. I have lived with my current family for 6.5 years and they have made the difficult decision to find me a new home where I can be the Queen Beag. You see, I have started to have trouble getting along with my beagle sister because I want to be the boss and she is tired of being bossed around all the time. We are nice to each other 99.99% of the time but we have had a few spats and we both get really hurt. So even though I am the gentlest, sweetest, loving girl and will be missed terribly, my family is allowing me to find a new home where I can be the star (only dog) for the last half of my life.

A bit more about me… The first year or two of my life is a bit shady, but what I do know is that my first home did not treat me nicely at all and got rid of me by throwing me from a moving vehicle…OUCH! My second family also was not nice to me and there were kids that mistreated me…so I get really uneasy around young children that don’t know when to give me my space. Despite my rough start, I have never been aggressive towards any human, young or old, but I would prefer to be in a home without young children so I feel safe.

I am very low energy most of the time, usually only getting the zoomies or desire to fetch a toy for a few minutes each evening. Most days are spent holding down the couch or floor and in the evening I love to be petted by my family and curl up on the sofa next to them. Speaking of toys, my favorite things to do is remove their squeakers or chew their eyes out! I love to go on walks and enjoy rides in the car. I have the silliest, deep, raspy beagle bay…but I usually only bark when I see a squirrel or rabbit in the yard. . I need a home where I have a fenced yard or a tie out to do my business as I am a private girl and can’t do this when I am being watched. I am a 13” beagle and weigh a trim 26lbs which the vet says is ideal. I am around 8 years old.

So, enough about me. Do you have it in your heart to give me a safe and loving home for the rest of my life? If so, I hope you will contact Midwest BREW and talk with my family to learn more about me.
