My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carlo and Sophia
10 year old Blue Point Himalayans

COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of these cats. We take no responsibility for health and medical records. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Meet Carlo and Sophia. They were born on August 28, 2002 and are both Blue Point Himalayan Persians. In November 2002 they were purchased from a breeder. The owners went to meet Sophia but when they found out her brother was also available and met him, an automatic connection was made and they went home with both cats. They were lovingly raised by their owners who cared deeply for them.

But life changed in 2009 when their dad was taken from the family by a drunk driver. Their mom has decided to move out of California and will be facing unknown living situations. After long considerations, she has decided to try to find a loving home for Carlo and Sophia. She feels it will be very stressful for them to move around with her at their age and it would be better to find a home where they can have the comfort and security that they need.

Carlo and Sophia are wonderful, quiet cats. They're front paw declawed and strictly indoor cats. They are very loving in their own unique ways. Carlo is the lover and warms up quickly. Sophia loves on her terms, but she is very curious and likes sleeping in her own bed (a basic box with a towel in it). Both cats like to be near you, but like their space as well. They are not used to being around small children. If you are a Persian lover you know the routine of brushing, cleaning their eyes, wiping their face and the occasional hairball. Carlo and Sophia are not fond of being brushed but understand the routine. They're not crazy about having their feet touched and will get a little verbal. Once the brushing is done, they're right next to you again. When they hear the garage door open they are always there to greet their owner at the door, which always puts a big smile on her face after a long day at work.

We are looking to find them a person and/or family that can find it in their hearts to give Carlo and Sophia a quiet, loving home. Are you the very special person to open your heart to this special brother and sister? If you think you would make a wonderful home for Carlo and Sophia, contact Karen at 707-301-6425 or by email at k.pahler@comcast.net or go to www.purebredsplus.org and fill out an adoption application. These cats are not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with their owner in the Central Valley who is placing them
