Unique (aka ChiChi)'s Story...
6-7 month old "ChiChi" (formerly 'Unique') is the definition of TORTITUDE: she has blossomed from sick, shy girl to a healthy, boisterous, ball of energy. She has a fantastic appetite, loves soft, moist food and eggs (yes, EGGS!). She gets along with my other [grown] cats, constantly tries to play with them and loves napping on plastic bags. ChiChi loves feather toys, balls of foil, stuffed mice and chasing my laser pointer—she needs a LOT of patience and time for play, as she has TONS of energy and it takes a lot to tire her out! She will make a wonderful addition to any family, as a single kitty or with siblings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Unique (aka ChiChi), a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
