My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People!
I’m Nico, a very handsome and loving Bichon boy of four. My name could be Buddy ‘cause that is what I am -- and what I am good at. I am the best buddy you could ask for. I am happy and sweet -- and especially talented at charming my way onto your lap, Mom says I just focus my big brown eyes on you and presto! There I am.

I’m housebroken, rarely bark and never chew anything I’m not supposed to. I like to curl up with my humans on the couch (when I can) and I’m learning about toys. I also love walks, am smart and a good communicator. (Mom has been easy to train and she says I’m working hard to accommodate her every need- well, maybe not every need but most of them!)

Like all FurKids, I started out with all the joy and love all puppies have-- but ended up with a very unkind owner. I never lost hope that I was going to find a better life! And about two weeks ago something very sad (then something really good!) happened. I had to leave my doggy FurKid sister and my Mom behind. Dad was being really mean to me – and I had to leave! Well my aunties at Bichon FurKids scooped me up – and that was the start of a wonderful chapter of my life.

My foster Mom says I was very courageous and I never lost hope that I was going to find a better life ! I was never, ever aggressive and suspected that someday someone would adopt me and give me lots of love and affection. My Furkid Aunties say I’m loving, very handsome and a real gentleman – a gorgeous little guy who is housebroken and knows a ‘bunch’ of commands – like Sit, stay, down and walk. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, I wake up and peek over the side of the big bed just to make sure I wasn't dreaming and really am in a safe house with kind people.

Mom says I need calm, gentle words (and I respond immediately), that I come bouncing across the room to be loved and that I deserve a loving home where everyone will be kind to me. Mom says when you meet me you will fall in love – ‘cause I’m just an amazing little guy.

Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Your Future Best Friend and Buddy Nico
