Gru's Story...
Gru

Est. DOB: May 30, 2012
Description: DSH White / Gray
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Gru is a handsome, sleek boy with lots of white and scattered gray spots. He has a gray freckle on the end of his nose to tie it all together.

He’s an affectionate and playful boy that gets along well with other cats and dogs after proper introductions. It took him only a day to fit in with new friends at his last foster mom’s house.

Gru will follow you around from room to room with ankle rubs until you sit down and he can climb into your lap.

Gru is one of the ‘Despicable Me’ kittens who were found alone in the middle of a highway in Mebane with his siblings.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gru, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
