My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BLOSSOM
3 year old Female Tortie Point Snowshoe Siamese

Blossom is the quintessential 'lap cat' – she simply loves to curl up and cuddle. This is a particularly pleasant experience because she must have the lushest coat ever! (Think Mink). Whether you're reading a book, watching a movie or relaxing – she can be your wonderful warm companion, quiet, gentle, and loving. She is exceptionally loyal and doting. Blossom will curl up around your neck, tell you all about her day, lay on your feet, and lay on the floor with you - she will even do yoga with you! Fun, athletic, energetic, beautiful.

Blossom also has another side…………adventurer and explorer, kind of a cross between Sacajawea and Charles Lindbergh – Maybe even a bit more of Lindbergh as it is not uncommon to see Blossom flying over furniture, pepper plants, or fences.

We found Blossom abandoned and living in a dirty, dark alley between houses. We had seen little glimpses of her for about two months before we finally saw her actually eating the food we put out for her. It only took about 30 minutes of coaxing before we could pick her up and take her inside. Once she settled down, she was taken to the vet to see if she had a microchip since she was obviously not a stray. In fact she was chipped, but the person who she was chipped to never reported her lost and the contact information was no longer valid. Poor Blossom was skin and bones and begging for food when we found her. It didn't take long and she put on a few pounds and is now a healthy, athletic, stunning cat. She checked out healthy from the vet too. She has survived to be a great companion and pet to a lucky family.

We think she would do best as the only cat in a home, although she has slowly but surely started to tolerate the cats in her foster home. As with any pet, we strongly urge any adoptive family to keep her indoor only, but Blossom is very comfortable outdoors. In fact she has a very strong desire to be outside part of her day. Our goal is to place our cats into indoor only homes, but every once in a while we find a cat that really has always been an outdoor/indoor cat and makes it clear their desire to continue that way of life. Ideally we would like to find someone who would commit to making Blossom an indoor only cat, which she may be open to if given enough love and attention. We would also consider a home where she could spend a part of her day in a safe outdoor setting as long as the 'outdoor' is secure and safe.

Blossom will delight you with her silly antics, and warm your heart with her complete devotion. She is a gentle lap kitty but also a magnificent athlete with stunning looks and plush, beautiful coat. She will make a wonderful companion.

Blossom is fostered in the greater Sacramento area.
