My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tootsie 4 yr old female silver tabby persian

It was 3:00 in the afternoon and this little girl was having her siesta, sound asleep, and she wasn't thrilled by my photographic efforts. She is so beautiful we managed to get a few photo's to show on her bio.

She is a nice a little girl. He problem was her family was getting divorced ( lots of unhapy emotion ) and workmen were al over the
house getting it ready to sell ( think drop clothes and ladders etc)
and her world was being boxed up and carted out of the house. She got very anxious and pooped in the wrong place and suddenly found herself in the shelter. Yikes.

So much emotion and commotion who can blame her.? She is just a loving little persian girl who needs to be protected and treasured.
Did you know that if you surrender a cat to a shelter and mention your cat has litterbox problems that that cat will NOT go up for adoption? That means automatic euthanasia ( despite how beautiful and young the cat is ) unless a rescue learns of her situation and can get her out right away. I said yes immediately and a volunteer ) ( thank you Andrea ) brought her to me the next day. I am so glad to have her.

She was litterbox perfect in the shelter and has been litterbox perfect the 10 days I have had her. Let's find her a nice, quiet, peaceful home with a nice quiet peaceful human or two to be home with her most of the time. She can relax and purr and delight her new family with her loving heart.

She was certainly stressed when she came to me and hadn't eaten well in the shelter. We discovered she is a social eater who likes human company when she eats. We got her to eat by letting her eat wet food off of our fingertips. She liked that. She likes to be petted while she eats. Now she is eating well and especially likes her wet food but she eats dry too. She is still a little unsettled from her recent upsetting experiences but she is coming along nicely and will be fine.

You can see her wonderful big round yellow eyes . We call them "
headlight eyes" the are so prominent. Tootsie has a big soft coat of silver and black fur with a huge tail. Grooming will definitely be a part of your life with this girl. She seems to like brushing everywhere except on her tail. She wants to know us better before she trusts us there.

Otherwise she seems to be in good health. She doesn't have the runny eyes so many Persians have. Hers are clean and perfect without any help from us.

I will write more when I know her better. She is a tender little treasure who will make someone a wonderful loving companion.

She eats wet and dry food and has been entirely litterbox perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
