Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dandelion
9 year old Female Blue Abyssinian
COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Dandelion is a pretty self-sufficient cat. Like most Abyssinian's, she enjoys ledges, the tops of fridges, or in general, anywhere up. She likes dry food and wet food. Since she is a short hair cat, you don't have to deal with major amounts of shedding, though she does shed if she isn't brushed regularly, which she enjoys. Dandelion is not usually a lap cat, but if you find her napping, she will gladly be relocated to your lap or to your bed at night if you want her there. She doesn't bite, but likes to scratch furniture at times so a cat tree or different types of scratching pads would be good to have for her. She is also used to her nails being trimmed. If you need to leave the house for a period of time, Dandelion will be completely fine on her own as long as you leave her food and water.
Dandelion was purchased from a breeder in Texas. She was a part of the last litter that this breeder bred before retiring. Her cats were known for their exceptionally slender bodies, traditional facial features and longevity of 15-16 years with few medical problems. Dandelion was raised in her home with another Aby so is used to being around other cats. So at 9 years old, Dandelion has a lot of living left to do. Her birthday is May 5th.
Dandelion is completely up to date on her vet visits, all vaccinations and rabies shots including boosters. Her owner is moving to Japan and was planning to bring Dandelion with her but cats that go into other countries are quarantined for long lengths of time and her owner does not feel that would be fair to Dandelion. She is in great health and a copy of all the medical documents are available.
If you feel that Dandelion is the cat for you, call Karen at 707-301-6425 or by email at k.pahler@comcast.net. Please note that Dandelion is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her owner who is placing her. She is in the Sacramento area. Adoption fee applies.
