Eden's Story...
Eden is an extremely loving, affectionate and snuggly sweet, nine-month-old, medium-haired female grey tabby cat looking for a loving guardian. Eden was found as a stray and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control. She was lucky to find her way out of a cage and into a loving foster home where she has proven herself wonderful with other cats and kittens, as well as dogs. Eden starts out shy with people, but she quickly warms up when shown some love. She enjoys a sunny window seat and loves cuddling on the couch. She enjoys playing with her feather toys, and adores chin rubs. Eden is looking for a quiet home; she would do fine with the company of other gentle-natured cats and dogs. She will need a patient cat-lover willing to give her time to adjust to life in her new home. Eden uses her litter box and scratching post. She is healthy, spayed, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and virus-tested. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact her foster mom Victoria at vsheridanschless@yahoo.com or 312-493-5221

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eden, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
