Janet's Story...
Janet: Spayed female born 4/4/12
Janet is one of six kittens born to a feral stray and brought into the Humane Society at about 8 weeks old. This petite little girl is the tiniest of her siblings, but she is also the boss. She keeps her siblings in line and sets the rules for the Cattyshack where she is being fostered. Rule number one, Janet eats first. Janet is also the most vocal, meowing every time she sees someone walk by. She enjoys some cuddles and pets, but also enjoys her time relaxing in the sun or playing with her mousies. Janet has grown tolerant of the resident dog and would probably be fine in a home with a dog willing to let her set the rules. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janet, a Bedford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
