Why is it always the happiest of dogs that end up in the saddest situations? Meet Chase; a beautiful, energetic Sheperd Mix that is full of life! At approximately one year old, his stunning good lucks are equally matched by a big personality. Chase loves every human friend he meets and is so excited to join them on new adventures. It is amazing that he is such an upbeat dog, given the unfortunate circumstances from which he was rescued. Chase was picked up by Animal Control after his owners let him loose on the harsh streets of Santa Ana. It seems that once Chase was full grown and no longer a tiny, cute puppy, his family couldn’t be bothered to put in the time to train him and instead, let him loose to dodge cars and search for food; and worst of all, couldn’t be bothered to come back for him when his time was up at a high kill shelter and he was scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily for Chase, his advocates at the Mission Viejo shelter saw his potential, couldn’t allow this beautiful, friendly, one year old pup to die, and came to his rescue. Now that he is safe, Chase needs the kind of family who understands that a one year old Sheperd mix needs structure, guidance, and plenty of daily exercise.

If you have the time, commitment, and dedication that a high energy, active dog like Chase deserves, then look no further. Contact the Mission Viejo Shelter and help this beautiful boy “chase” his dream of a forever family!
