COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of these cats. We take no responsibility for their health and medical records. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Beautiful boys, Mocha and Milo, need to be re-homed together because the home they live in is no longer the right one for them. The boys were adopted with the hopes that the cats would be companions for the owners as well as their 6 year old Autistic son. But their son chases the cats around the house and scares them, so Mocha and Milo are now in a room by themselves to have the peace and quiet they prefer. The owner knows seeking a loving, peaceful home for these boys is what they deserve.

Mocha (nickname Lovebug) is extremely loving, gentle, sweet natured and very handsome, typical of the Burmese breed. He craves human attention and contact with loves, pats and belly rubs always welcomed. Mocha will follow you wherever you go and will always be by your side. It's amusing when he flops himself down on his side in front of you, almost as if to say, "Give me a pat, scratch or rub." He also likes his cat toys and will want his playtime with you. Good thing Mocha is a short haired cat because he isn't so fond of being groomed, but will tolerate it. He can be a bit finicky about his food, but is on a dry cat food that he likes and will always be there for a human food handout.

Milo is a bit fearful in his home and is probably the cat most tramatized by the owners 6 year old son. He doesn’t like being held but will tolerate being petted and likes his ears and face rubbed. Milo was bought as a kitten and there is no doubt that Milo could become less fearful and be a great kitty with someone who has the time to be with him, play with him and win his trust. He loves to eat, especially cat treats. His owner uses the word ‘numnums’ & Milo comes running. When all is quiet in the house he is very playful. Milo loves cat toys, especially the fluffy balls & fluffy mice that he will throw in the air using his mouth and then catch. He’s quite clever. Milo also loves to chase bugs, so he's been officially given the title of "the great bug catcher". In fact he’s very smart and with the command of ‘where is it, or who is it?’ Milo will instantly go searching the floors and walls for bugs. It’s quite funny and a game he really enjoys.

The best home for Mocha and Milo would a quieter indoor home with a single person or couple that understands Milo's needs and who have the desire and ability to gently bring Milo around to his full potential. The boys could be in a home with other gentle cats, but the owner is unsure about dogs. Mocha is current on all his shots, healthy and altered. Milo is also a very healthy kitty and is altered. He is not current on his shots, as it is difficult taking him to the vet because he gets very stressed riding in a car. It might be good when Milo adjusts to his new home to have a mobile vet for Milo's kitty care so he and his new owners don't have to deal with this issue.
