My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is WonTon! I am a 5-6 year old male brown and black tabby. I was found by a volunteer on a street in South West Philadelphia eating garbage out of a gutter. I was so very thin, filthy and covered in fleas. My rescuer scooped me up and took me home and said that the first thing I needed was a bath! Once I was nice and clean and treated for fleas, I was given really good cat food until my tummy was nice and full! I am a very friendly and quiet guy who would love nothing more than to curl up on your lap or next to you in bed. I am a nurturer by nature and am currently "mothering" a litter of foster kittens, cleaning and snuggling with them. I did have surgery to repair a dislocated hip in January of 2012 but have completely recovered and am doing great. I am good with other cats, unknown with dogs, and would do well with older children ages 7 and up (just because of my hip surgery.) Because I am so laid back, my rescuer feels that I may do ok with a cat friendly dog. I love to give kisses and hugs and will reach up to hold onto your hand while I take a treat right from your fingers.
