Won Ton's Story...

Hi, my name is WonTon! I am a 5-6 year old male brown and black tabby. I was found by a volunteer on a street in South West Philadelphia eating garbage out of a gutter. I was so very thin, filthy and covered in fleas. My rescuer scooped me up and took me home and said that the first thing I needed was a bath! Once I was nice and clean and treated for fleas, I was given really good cat food until my tummy was nice and full! I am a very friendly and quiet guy who would love nothing more than to curl up on your lap or next to you in bed. I am a nurturer by nature and am currently "mothering" a litter of foster kittens, cleaning and snuggling with them. I did have surgery to repair a dislocated hip in January of 2012 but have completely recovered and am doing great. I am good with other cats, unknown with dogs, and would do well with older children ages 7 and up (just because of my hip surgery.) Because I am so laid back, my rescuer feels that I may do ok with a cat friendly dog. I love to give kisses and hugs and will reach up to hold onto your hand while I take a treat right from your fingers. If you would like to adopt me, please fill out an adoption application for me or if you have any questions at all about me, please don't hesitate to email KittyJunction@aol.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Won Ton, a Horsham American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Horsham, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Horsham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Horsham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Horsham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Horsham paves the way for another one to be saved.
