Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello World,
My name is Tucker and I’m a very young, happy, adorable and tiny (8 ½ pounds) little bichon who just loves to please! Want to play with toys? Take a ride in the car? Go for a walk? Then I’m your guy. Want to snuggle and cuddle? Well I’m your guy times two!
Dad says I’m inquisitive, extremely affectionate, eager to please and give the bestest doggy kisses! Mom says I’m friendly, loveable, entertaining – and very good at getting attention! She says I listen when she speaks – and that’s a good thing. I also have this way of walking on my hind legs and holding onto your arm or hand with my front paws. (Honest – I taught myself to do that!) Then I kind of tap my front paws against you like I’m drumming to get your attention. (It works, too!) Dad says I’ve also been known to come up behind him and Mom and drum against their legs while standing on my back legs! They agree that is a very unique thing to do. They say it's hilarious and very effective! I’m not sure what hilarious means but they laugh when they say it – so that’s a good thing!
My doggy foster brother is a great role model for a young little guy like me. He has taught me to play tug-of-war and other games and also to play with toys. If Dad throws my toys I'm happy to chase them - but I don't bring them back (‘cause Dad does that part so well!) I love to toss my toys around, carry them and sometimes I even drop them behind the couch (It’s my own game of hide and seek.)
While I’m extremely loving and eager to please, I can be a little shy when I first meet people. Once I get to know them, I can relax and show them my loving self. Dad says I also appear interested in kids. Since Mom and he don’t have any kids they don’t know for sure -- but think I would be good with children, too. When it comes to other dogs, I also start out by being cautious. We have to be introduced slowly so I feel secure that they aren't going to take my food, toys etc. then I can relax. What I’m hoping for is a forever doggy friend who is as great as my foster brother.
I have somewhat long, legs and a frail body. When I walk Dad says I kind of remind him of a baby deer! The combination makes me appear more delicate than a typical bichon but it works for me. Please know that I’m almost completely housebroken and I’m such a good boy that I get to sleep in the big people’s bed – with my doggy foster brother and Mom and Dad!
I’m just a little guy with who loves everyone and likes to know where everyone is (so we can all be together.) Once we are, I love to snuggle with Mom and Dad and to sleep on my doggy foster brother. Because I’m little it’s easy to pick me up, carry me around and hold me close!
I will go to the end of the earth to earn your attention and affection. With a bit of training and lots of love, I’ll be the bestest buddy ever! So if you’re looking for an active, playful, animated, loving and trainable Bichon boy, and if you have an active home and another FurKid or two please ask for me – please ask for me. I’ll be watching for you too!
Your friend in waiting,
Tiny and Terrific Tucker
